Sacred Heart, St. Joseph organize alumni games

Graduates from St. Joseph School in Conway and Sacred Heart at Morrilton recently played each other in a series of basketball games at the St. Joseph Family Activity Center.

The competition was designed to raise money for the schools’ athletic booster clubs and included four divisions: men under 35, women over 35, men over 35 and women under 35. They played for the Rivalry Ball Trophy which was dedicated to the memory of the late Kathryn Mourot. She taught and coached at both Sacred Heart and St. Joseph between 1968 and 1991. The trophy went to the school which accumulated the most points over the four games. The final score was 116-86 in favor of St. Joseph. Next year’s tournament will be played at Morrilton.
