Red Curtain Theatre presents ‘Elf the Musical Jr.’ Dec.9-11

Conway residents will embrace their inner “elf” when Red Curtain Theatre presents their production of “Elf the Musical Jr.” Friday, Dec. 9, through Sunday, Dec. 11, at Staples Auditorium at Hendrix College.

“Elf the Musical Jr.” is based on the 2003 New Line Cinema hit “Elf.”    

Director Kristen Sherman says, “This warm and funny show not only showcases the talents of so many amazing kids from Conway and surrounding cities, but it also gives them the opportunity to spread their own bit of Christmas cheer right here in our community.”

Red Curtain Theatre is a performing arts theatre company in Conway. The mission of the organization is to provide an atmosphere that nurtures and inspires actors of all ages by offering performance opportunities through community theatre, workshops and private instruction. Their most recent performances include the hit musicals “The Music Man,” “The Addams Family” and Disney’s “Alice in Wonderland Jr.”

The show was presented Dec. 3 in Leslie.

Conway performances will be at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9, and 2 and 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, and 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 11. Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for children 10 and under and may be purchased at redcurtaintheatre.com, by calling 501.499.9776, or at the door.
