Red Curtain plans ‘Rocky Horror Show’

Red Curtain Theatre will present “The Rocky Horror Show” Friday, October 19, through Sunday, Oct. 28, in the Trieschmann Fine Arts Building at Hendrix College.

“The Rocky Horror Show” is a musical with music, lyrics and a book by Richard O’Brien.  When engaged couple, Brad and Janet, are caught with a flat tire in a rainstorm, they seek refuge at the home of a mad transvestite scientist, Dr. Frank ‘N’ Furter, who is hosting a party to unveil his new creation, a sort of Frankenstein-style monster, physically perfect man named Rocky Horror. Add in a host of futuristic phantoms and a dance party feel, this show is filled with frightful fun and audience participation as the narrator teaches “The Time Warp.”

The show is directed by Justin A. Pike, with choreography by Olivia Stephens and music direction by Karen Graham. “I am so excited to be back in my hometown directing this crazy show with such an incredible cast and crew,” said Pike. “Audience members should prepare themselves for the wildest, sexiest, most intergalactic experience they can possibly have this Halloween season.”
