Record number participate in Toad Suck Daze Run

More than 1,500 registered to participate in this year’s Toad Suck Daze 5K/10K Run (an RRCA Grand Prix event).

The 29th annual event – held at Conway High School West at John McConnell Stadium – also attracted nearly 300 participants in the Tadpole Trot runs for kids.

Proceeds from the race will benefit a variety of local non-profits – the Faulkner County Boys and Girls Club, Faulkner County Day School, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, City of Hope Outreach, Community Connections, Junior Auxiliary of Conway, the American Red Cross and HAVEN (Help for Abuse Victims in Emergency Need).

Over the years, the race has raised nearly $300,000 for local charities.

A limited number of cotton race shirts are available for purchase for $10 at Regions Bank. There are also NewBalance NDurance shirts available for $15.

For the third year in a row, Conway Christian School had the largest percentage of participants (based on enrollment) in the Tadpole Trot. The school will be presented with a traveling trophy and $200 for the physical education department.

The Conway Kiwanis Club and Regions Bank are the main organizers of the event.  The event is supported by the Conway Convention & Visitors Bureau.
