Poets to read at library

Award-winning poets Paulette Guerin and Ellie Black will read from their works at the Faulkner County Library at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 23.

Both poets were selected for “Best New Poets 2018.”

Ellie is a poet and musician from Clarksville. Her work can be found in or is forthcoming from Best New Poets 2018, DIAGRAM, Split Lip Magazine, Glass: A Journey of Poetry and elsewhere. The winner of the 2018 Split Lip Poetry Contest and the 2018 C.D. Wright/Nan Snow Emerging Writer Award, Ellie currently works as a poetry reader at the Adroit Journal and is an associate editor for Sibling Rivalry Press. She is an MFA candidate at the University of Mississippi.

Paulette is a graduate of the MFA program at the University of Florida. She lives in Arkansas and teaches English and writing at Harding University. Her poetry has appeared in Best New Poets 2018, Epiphany, Concho River Review, The Tishman Review, Contemporary Verse 2 and others. She also has a chapbook, Polishing Silver.
