Pinnacle Mountain to host Earth Day celebration

On Sunday, April 19, Pinnacle Mountain State Park will host an Earth Day Celebration.

Festivities start at 1p.m. and end at 4 o’clock.

The Leave No Trace team will have an information booth and be presenting kids’ activities/games every half hour.

There will be a tie-dye station (visitors supply the clothing items, the park supplies everything else).

A tree-planting ceremony will take place at 2 p.m. Litter bags will be available to all hikers, as well as prizes for picking up any litter in the park. There will also be an environmental Pledge Tree, where visitors can write an Earth Day pledge on a “leaf” and add it to the tree.
