Painted floral walls wow a nursery

When Amy and Wayne Landers found out they were having a baby, they went to work designing a nursery befitting a prince or a princess. They knew their perfect baby room should have wainscoting whether it was a boy or a girl, so they started there.

When they found out a little girl was on the way, the ideas began to swirl. “I’m a girly girl, so I knew immediately that I wanted the room to be exploding with pink and frills!” said Amy.

She decided to go with the same blush pink and creams that she had used in her wedding.

Amy fell in love with bold floral design wallpapers, but to her disappointment, she couldn’t find the colors that would work with her room. She enlisted the help of Kim Hull at MimmyDale Designs and they sat down over coffee, paint chips and fabric swatches and designed the perfect hand-painted nursery wall.

Amy said her friends and family pitched in to finish up the room just in time to welcome little Madalyn Belle. Her mother-in-law, Wanda Landers, made the custom bedding, drapes and changing pad cover. Her friend, Daisy Baker, painted the pink and gold dresser while Amy painted the matching mirror.

The result is a gorgeous nursery fit for the “girliest” of girls.
