Organizers have begun planning for Oktoberfest in Fairfield Bay on Saturday, Oct. 11, and Sunday, Oct. 12.

The event will be a German-styled Oktoberfest celebration that will be fun for all. Plans are for a two-day arts and craft show with more than 50 artisans, crafters and food vendors. There will be a live German oom-pah-pah band playing all evening on Saturday for dancing and listening.

The festival will feature a tented biergarten with tables for eating and enjoying the music.

Daytime events will include a children’s section, complete with clowns, bouncy house, pumpkin painting, face painting and more. There will even be Storyfest with professional storytellers.
