NLR Mayor names Unsheltered Community Liaison

NORTH LITTLE ROCK — Mayor Terry Hartwick named Officer Shana (Shay) Cobbs as the new Liaison to the Unsheltered Community in North Little Rock.

Cobbs has 23 years of experience in law enforcement, 18 years in North Little Rock. She has worked extensively in negotiations, communications, community relations, crime prevention and training.

Cobbs has also focused on working with Neighborhood Watch Groups, the Citizens Police Academy and individuals with personal and professional crisis, providing confidential outreach and support. 

“Officer Cobbs has a proven ability to establish and maintain effective relationships which will prove to be an asset to our unsheltered community and our entire city,” Hartwick said.

Officer Cobbs holds a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management from Central Baptist College and is a retired Master Sergeant from the Arkansas Air Force National Guard with 21 years of experience.

Officer Cobbs has received numerous achievement and service awards in the North Little Rock Police Department, the Air Force and in the state of Arkansas.
