An opening reception was recently held for the Winthrop Rockefeller Legacy Art Exhibition.

The event – held at the Winthrop Rockefeller Institute Show Barn Hall atop Petit Jean Mountain – also served as a welcome reception for Christy Carpenter, new chief executive officer for the institute.

The works of 30 Arkansas artists were featured during the exhibition.

The exhibit opened during the annual Winthrop Rockefeller Legacy Weekend. Since 2009, the art show’s opening has been held in conjunction with Legacy Weekend as a way to recognize the former governor’s support of the arts.
