New 501 Kids publishes

The latest edition of 501 Kids – which features Greenbrier Westside Elementary and its kindness campaign – is hitting the streets.

“This edition’s cover story was inspired by students at Greenbrier Westside Elementary School and their efforts to promote kindness during a special week observed earlier this year,” said 501 LIFE editor/publisher Sonja J. Keith. “Students participated in extra activities and dress up days to encourage one another to be kind. We especially want to recognize second grade teacher Jacklyn White who spearheaded the effort.”

501 Kids and 501 LIFE are jumping on the bandwagon by encouraging kindness among young and older throughout the year. “We welcome and encourage adults to take a photo with a copy of the magazine while their children are doing an act of kindness this summer,” Keith said, adding that the photos will be included in an upcoming edition and on social media. Send photos along with caption information to [email protected] or 701 Chestnut St., Conway, AR 72032.

Also in this edition, 501 LIFE contributors Katelin Whiddon and Brittany Gilbert have some wonderful and helpful information for parents and other caregivers.

“We also have photos from the recent Toad Suck Daze Run/Tadpole Trot and Kids Run Arkansas,” Keith said.

501 Kids is distributed through schools, daycare centers and businesses throughout Faulkner County. Copies are available at the 501 LIFE office at 701 Chestnut St. in Conway and at the following locations of advertising partners: Central Arkansas Pediatrics, Conway Regional Medical Center, First Security Bank, First Service Bank, Shoe Choo Train and St. Joseph School.
