Men’s Tennis posts 7-0 shutout on Wednesday

SEARCY — The Harding men’s tennis team earned their sixth 7-0 shutout of the season on Wednesday over Freed-Hardeman at the Elliott Tennis Complex. The Bisons improved to 10-6 on the season with three additional victories over junior colleges. 

In doubles action, Caleb Folse and Jaydon van Vreden picked up their sixth straight victory with a 6-3 win at No. 1 to open the match. Edoardo D’Arrigo and Bryce Walker teamed up for the 6-0 win at No. 2. Hunter DeMunbrun and Florian Gayme finished doubles with a 6-1 win at No. 3. 

Folse opened singles action with a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 6. Walker won his eighth match of the season, 6-2, 6-1 at No. 1. D’Arrigo clinched the win with a 6-2, 6-2 victory at No. 2. Van Vreden won his sixth straight with a 6-2, 6-4 win at No. 3. DeMunbrun picked up his sixth win of the season, winning 6-2, 7-6 at No. 5. Gayme finished the match with a 7-6, 6-3 win at No. 4. 

The Bisons will open conference play at 2 p.m. today at No. 35 Southern Arkansas.
