Loggins named Region 2 Player of the Week

HOT SPRINGS — National Park College (NPC) Nighthawk sophomore forward Kaharie Loggins (Chicago, Illinois) was named National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II Region 2 Player of the Week for his outstanding performance on the court this week.

In the 11th week of reporting this season, Loggins averaged 21 points per game for the Nighthawks (13-13, 6-10).

In the team’s 77-75 win over Arkansas State University-Newport, the sophomore broke the program’s single-game blocks record (10), while recording the program’s third-ever triple double (25 points, 10 rebounds, 10 blocks).

In Saturday’s 73-72 win over North Arkansas College, Loggins led NPC with 23 points and eight rebounds.

In addition to his 65.2 field goal shooting percentage, which leads NJCAA Region 2 play and ranks 15th, nationally, Loggins serves as NPC’s leader in free throws (112), offensive rebounds (78) and blocks (30) this season.
