23 Jan 2013 Lions Club plans Harlem Ambassador game
The Conway Lions Club will present the Harlem Ambassadors versus the Toad Suck Lions in a benefit basketball game at 6 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 17, at Hendrix College.
The Harlem Ambassadors offer a unique brand of Harlem-style basketball, featuring high-flying slam dunks, dazzling ball-handling tricks and hilarious comedy routines.
Tickets are available at Simmons First National Bank locations, Gary Cox CPA office, the Log Cabin Democrat and the Faulkner County Library. Advance tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for seniors (55 and older) and $1 for students. At the door, tickets are an additional $1.
All proceeds will be used to purchase eyeglasses for Conway children in need, fund three $1,000 scholarships for graduating high school seniors and other sight-related projects.
