Petit Jean State Park will celebrate Arkansas State Parks Legacy Week Wednesday, Sept. 2, through Monday, Sept. 7. Petit Jean became the first state park in Arkansas in 1923. In 1933, the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) laid the foundation for the park as it is today. The park will host family-friendly programs that celebrate the founding and building of Petit Jean State Park and the legacy of Arkansas State Parks. For more information visit petitjeanstatepark.com.
