St. Louis, Mo. – For the second time this season, Central Baptist College volleyball player Mikayla Lawrence has earned American Midwest Conference defensive player of the week. She also earned DPOW on Sept. 4.

Lawrence, a senior libero from Beebe, had 28 digs and 11 assists Friday night at Cottey for the sixth double-double of her career. In the three-set match, she averaged 9.33 digs per set and moved within 30 digs of 1,500 for her career.

Lawrence and the Mustangs are back on the court Thursday night at 5 p.m. for their final non-conference match of the season against Crowley’s Ridge.
