25 Sep 2013 Lady Bulldogs win district championship
The St. Joseph School Lady Bulldogs Golf Team won the 2A3 District Championship competition held Sept. 23 on the Links at Cadron Valley Golf and Country Club in Conway.
St. Joseph had a team score of 155. Conway Christian was second at 203 and Bigelow was third at 205.
Melissa Hambuchen was the leading scorer for St. Joseph. She shot a 40, which earned her first place overall. Caroline Dail shot a 52 which placed her second overall. Savannah Covington shot a 63 and Isabella Hartman had a 73.
All four girls qualified for the state tournament which will be played on the Mineral Springs Course at Greystone Country Club near Cabot on Wednesday, Oct. 2.
