Koontz Electric recognizes graduates

Koontz Electric Company (KECI) recently recognized this year’s graduating class from the Arkansas Construction Education Foundation Electrical apprenticeship program. 

This year is Koontz Electric’s largest graduating class of (15). Each graduate completed 8,000 hours of on-the-job training, and successfully passed exams during 576 hours of classroom time. Graduates are immediately eligible to take the Arkansas journeyman electrician exam. 

Kwan Black was also awarded outstanding apprentice of the year. 

Koontz Electric has 44 employees currently enrolled in electrical apprenticeship training. This workforce development program is fully funded by Koontz Electric Company, and has produced 69 Journeyman and 45 Master Licensed Electricians in its employment. 

Seventy-five percent of the company’s 185 employees are Conway County residents. 

Koontz Electric embraces this commitment to training so it can adequately staff highly demanding and technically challenging projects, coast to coast, and border to border.
