Kitchen Store Holiday Preview raises funds for perinatal bereavement program

The Kitchen Store is located at 704 Locust Street in downtown Conway. Last year the event raised $12,000 for the perinatal bereavement program at Conway Regional Medical Center.

The Mike Smyers family, which owns the Kitchen Store, donates 100 percent of gross sales from the festive shopping event to the Conway Regional Health Foundation for the bereavement program.

Based out of the hospital’s Women’s Center, the Conway Regional Perinatal Bereavement program is designed to address families’; needs after the loss of an infant during pregnancy or immediately after being born.

The staff provides supportive care in the hospital as well as follow-up care after loss. There is no cost to participants. The program is coordinated by Kristi Schichtl. Ms. Schichtl can be contacted at 501.501.5937.
