Journey of Hope fundraiser for Bethlehem House successful

More than 225 friends and supporters of Bethlehem House recently gathered to break bread and celebrate the lives of homeless and nearly homeless individuals and families in Central Arkansas. Journey of Hope is the premier annual dinner and live auction event for Bethlehem House.

“This year’s Journey of Hope was an absolute success!” said Judi Lively, executive director. “We raised over $45,000 for our program and residents.”

The mission of Bethlehem House is to encourage, equip and motivate homeless or nearly homeless families and individuals to move from being alone, afraid, ashamed, and depressed to becoming independent, productive, self-supporting members of the community.

Journey of Hope attendees included: Steve Menzie (from left), Melissa Dyson, Judi Lively, Haley Moran and Tamara Mulligan. T.J. Johnston (in front).

The event was held at the Renewal Ranch Event Center. Guests raised money for the nonprofit organization by bidding on a variety of items ranging from paintings by local artists to beach vacations. The event also included testimonials from former residents.

Bethlehem House is a Partner Agency of the United Way of Central Arkansas.
