Interventional cardiologist joins Conway Regional Clinic

Lensey Scott, M.D., a Conway interventional cardiologist, has joined the Conway Regional Cardiovascular Clinic.

Scott has been a member of the active medical staff at Conway Regional Health System since September 2015. Effective Oct. 1, Dr. Scott became a partner with Conway Regional and the Jack Stephens Heart Institute at CHI St. Vincent and is currently in practice with Don Steely, MD.

“We are excited that Dr. Scott has chosen to join the Conway Regional Cardiovascular Clinic,” said Alan Finley, Conway Regional’s Chief Operating Officer. “As with Dr. Steely, we will manage the business side of the practice so Dr. Scott can focus on patient care, both in the clinic and the hospital. We are always looking for opportunities to help physicians deal with the issues surrounding practice management, giving them more time and energy to focus on providing outstanding cardiac care to the community.”

The clinic is located at 525 Western Ave., Suite 202, in the medical office tower of Conway Regional Medical Center.

Scott treats patients who have risks or symptoms of cardiovascular diseases such as heart failure, heart attacks, angina and heart valve problems. He also treats patients with leg pain and peripheral arterial disease, a common circulatory problem in which narrowed arteries reduce blood flow to the limbs.

Scott holds a medical degree from Florida State University in Tallahassee and completed an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Florida in Gainesville. Scott completed a four-year cardiology fellowship at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson as well as a two-year cardiovascular research fellowship at the University of Utah. Most recently, he completed a fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at DMC Cardiovascular Institute at Detroit Medical Center.
