HOT SPRINGS: Trojans pursuing playoffs in 5A South

Conference: 5A South
Coach: Chris Vereen
’15 Record: 6-4

The Hot Springs Trojans beat rival Lakeside in Week 10, but it was too little too late as the Trojans finished tied for fifth in the 5A South, just outside of the playoffs.

Senior Korey Wasson is likely the candidate to take over at quarterback. Juniors Kenny Byrd and Deandre Woods lead the Trojan rushing attack. Senior Nehemiah Dangerfield leads at receiver. Offensive linemen include seniors Isaiah Gulley, Zach Vance, Michael Kelly, Dante Orosco and Josh Johnson.

Gulley starts both ways on the defensive line. Senior Treazure Porter also starts on the defensive line. Byrd goes both ways at linebacker. Senior Kilan Murry also returns at linebacker. Woods, Senior Tree Elliott, Dangerfield and junior Corey Cooper lead the secondary.
