Harding women’s golf climbs to ninth at Tulsa Cup

BROKEN ARROW, Okla. — Improving on its score in each round, the Harding women’s golf team placed ninth of 19 teams Tuesday at the Tulsa Cup, played at Forest Ridge Golf Course.

Harding shot 322 and 315 in rounds one and two and concluded the tournament with a 313 on Tuesday to finish at 86-over 950. It was the 10th-best 54-hole score in program history.

Senior Brenda Sanchez was Harding’s top finisher at 19-over 235. She tied for 29th. Freshman Sydney Kincade tied for 39th at 22-over 238. Sophomore Pilar Martinez shot one of Harding’s two best scores of the day, a 4-over 76, and also tied for 39th at 22-over 238.

Sophomore Madeleine Wilson matched Martinez’s 76 in the third round and tied for 48th at 23-over 239. Senior Kodie Winnings tied for 82nd at 38-over 254.

Sophomore Brenley Meche played as an individual and tied for 48th at 23-over 239.
