Harding University presents April concerts

The Harding University Department of Music will present free concerts in April.

Jazz Band, Reynolds Recital Hall – 7 p.m. Friday, April 15

Under the direction of Dr. Andrew Cook, the Jazz Band performs blues, swing, Latin, funk and contemporary styles at campus concerts and area jazz festivals. The group was featured last month in Spring Sing, the University’s musical variety show, which draws more than 10,000 audience members to multiple performances.  

Symphonic Band, Reynolds Recital Hall – 1 p.m. Saturday, April 16

Comprised of around 20 students from various majors, the Symphonic Band will perform music from W. A. Mozart, Georges Bizet, Leonard Bernstein and John Williams.
