Harding football moves to all-time high No. 4 ranking in AFCA poll

SEARCY — With its 54-20 victory over Southern Arkansas on Saturday at the Murphy USA Classic, Harding football moved up two places to No. 4 in the latest American Football Coaches Association Top 25 Poll. It is Harding’s highest-ever ranking by the AFCA. The Bisons moved to No. 5 in the D2Football.com poll, No. 4 in the NCAA II Power Rankings, and up one spot to No. 3 on MasseyRatings.com.

Harding is 8-0 for the second time in program history and has appeared in 60 consecutive AFCA polls, dating to the final poll of the 2017 season.
In the Southern Arkansas game, Harding rushed for 631 yards, the highest total in NCAA Division II this season and the second-highest total in program history.

Harding next plays its second of two consecutive road games Saturday against Southeastern Oklahoma in Durant. Kickoff at Paul Laird Field is at 2 p.m.
