Greenbrier Chamber hosts open house

An open house at the new office for the Greenbrier Chamber of Commerce will be held 4 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 19.

The new office is located at 89B North Broadview, Suite 3 in the Green Roof Plaza.

For several years, the chamber has occupied a small office inside the City Events Center. “We are so grateful that the city provided a space for us. That gave us a great foundation and allowed us to grow to the point we are now.

We feel our own space will help us reach our goals and be beneficial to our members,” said Audreya Parks, chamber president.

The office will house the chamber’s administrator, provide a place for board meetings and can be made available to other groups who need occasional meeting space.

The open house will give members and the public an opportunity to visit the office and will also serve as a donation drive for the A Bookcase for Every Child program.

“This move was possible in part due to one of our corporate members, Lenders Title Company, providing all the furnishings we needed. We want to pay that kindness forward by helping the Bookcase project. The purpose of the chamber is to strengthen our businesses and our community. We recognize the crucial role literacy plays in that,” said Parks.

Guests are asked to bring new or gently-used children’s books to the open house.
