Greenbrier chamber banquet

The Greenbrier Chamber of Commerce recently recognized outstanding individuals and businesses during its 21st annual awards banquet.

“Together Toward Tomorrow” was the theme for the banquet.

Clint Conque — the most winning football coach in UCA history — was the guest speaker. Jeff Matthews, morning radio show personality from B98.5 and a host of sports programming for Conway Corporation, was the emcee.

The top individual awards were presented to Greenbrier Sgt. Rick Woody — Citizen of the Year — and Fire Chief Cody Fulmer — Volunteer of the Year.

Other award winners:

Student of the Year — Sam Harris and Foster Hines.

New Business of the Year — Miss Ann’s Kitchen.

Small Business of the Year — Barkley’s Auto Service.

Non-Profit of the Year — Soaring Wings Ranch.

Business of the Year — First Security Bank.

Also at the event, Donna Spears of 501 Advertising and Publishing presented the 2013 Greenbrier City Directory, which features Woody and Fulmer on the cover.

Chamber board members include president Audreya Parks, vice president Bo Whitaker, secretary/treasurer Jessie Cassell, immediate past president Treva Branscum, Rhonda Rowlett, Donna Spears, Danny Smith, Josh Farris, Melissa Walters, Mayor Melton Cotton and Greenbrier School District Superintendent Scott Spainhour.
