GLEN ROSE: Beavers are top of class in 3A

Conference: 5-3A
Coach: Glen Rose
’15 Record: 10-3

The Glen Rose Beavers bucked off an uncharacteristic two-win season in 2014 with a 10-win season last fall. With 18 starters back across the field, the Beavers are locked and loaded for another deep 3A playoff run.

Senior Aaron Weatherford is back at quarterback after earning all-conference last fall. A bevy of upperclassmen return in the backfield: seniors Jake Thompson, Garett Reed and Seth Davis, and junior Ryan Taylor. Seniors Sam Dawson and Austin Hughes, and junior Jarred Rogers lead the receiving threat in Glen Rose’s Spread offense. Seniors Jacob Lowry, Mikey Elam, Tristan Bell and Gregory Anderson, and junior Hunter Church project as starters on the offensive line.

Senior Dillon Quantz, junior Carson Fite, sophomore Nicholas Prichard, Elam and Davis rotate on the defensive line. Seniors Jacob and Josh Lowry, along with junior Doyle Burks, start at linebacker. Reed is back to lead the secondary after putting up all-conference numbers a year ago. Dawson, Hughes, Thompson, junior Jarred Rogers and senior Zane Rogers defend the secondary.
