Fundraiser this weekend to support woman fighting cancer

CONWAY — A fundraising event will be held from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Oct. 27-28 at The Hippie Whistle, located at That 70’s Store, 404 US 65, Conway. “All proceeds and donations will be given to my sister, Terri Blazier, who has Stage 4 cancer, to help with her expenses,” said store owner Sheila Stansel.

There will be live, local music and talent, 35 vendors, food, and a comedian and adults can register to vote. On Friday night there will be a drum circle, which is an informal group who gather to make music with percussion instruments. “The more the better! It’s a Human Be-In. A gathering of tribes in peace.” Stansel said.

Both evenings at 7 p.m. the band “Limestone” will perform. “They are a gifted and amazing band and all of them graduated from UCA’s music department,” Stansel said. “It would be wonderful if they got some support from the town they all went to college in. I invite everyone to come out and raise money for my sister as she fights cancer.”
