Fletcher Smith's Jewelers to host 'Sip & See' for Festival of Chairs

Fletcher Smith’s Jewelers in Downtown Conway will host a “Sip & See” from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, to preview the 3.5 carat diamond ring they are donating for a raffle at the Festival of Chairs on Saturday, October 6.

The drawing will take place during the Festival of Chairs, however, those entered do not have to be present to win. With a retail value of $15,000 and ticket sales limited to 300, this is an evening not to be missed.

The stunning ring is a 3.5 carat diamond ring with a 1.5 marquise center accented with two pear shape side stones with a 1.09 carat total and round brilliant diamonds weighing .75 carat total. All of those wonderful diamonds are mounted in 14kt white gold.

Tickets are $50 each and only 300 tickets will be sold. Raffle tickets can be purchased in advance at Fletcher Smith’s Jewelers and anyone who buys a raffle ticket at the Sip & See will receive discounts of up to 50 percent on select items in the store that evening.

Also on display that evening will be a showcase of Stephen Dweck’s one-of-a-kind jewelry and the latest selections from Meus Design Jewelry.

The Festival of Chairs will be held 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, at the Centennial Valley Event Center. The event benefits the Children’s Advocacy Alliance, a partnership between the Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of the 20th Judicial District and the Central Arkansas Children’s Advocacy Center.

The signature feature of the Festival of Chairs event is the beautifully repurposed chairs that go up for auction. Talented local artists take broken and damaged chairs and with a lot of love and creativity bring them back to life. The chairs are symbolic of the children and families the Children’s Advocacy Alliance serves each day. These chairs, along with other artwork and hundreds of other unique and exciting items, are featured in live and silent auctions.

Tickets to the Festival of Chairs will be on sale during the Sip & See. Tickets are $50 per person if purchased in advance and $60 at the door.

The Children’s Advocacy Alliance is an independent nonprofit serving Faulkner, Van Buren, Searcy, Pope and Conway counties. Originally founded in 2000 as CASA of the 20th Judicial District, the Children’s Advocacy Alliance oversees both the Central Arkansas Children’s Advocacy Center and the CASA 20th Judicial District program. The two programs work side by side to provide coordinated guidance, treatment and support for child victims of abuse and neglect, from the initial investigation of abuse to their placement in a safe, permanent home.

The Children’s Advocacy Alliance is a place for hope and a voice for justice.
