08 Feb 2016 Faulkner County Library plans Mardi Gras concert

Celebrate Mardi Gras with the University of Central Arkansas Dixieland Jazz Band at the Faulkner County Library at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 9.

Led by director Dr. Jackie Lamar, the UCA Dixieland Jazz Band is composed of student musicians.  

They will perform a program of traditional New Orleans Jazz and Mardi Gras music.

Members include Jake Gatlin, clarinet, Fort Smith; Austin Storm, tuba, Prairie Grove; Jake Bass, tenor sax, Conway; Anna McAfee, piano, Greenwood; Kaitlynn Ledet, trumpet, Cur Off, La.; Danyelle Wells, banjo, Magnet Cove; Jeremy Landry, trombone, New Iberia, La.; Jonathan Hufford, drums, Paragould; and Dr. Jackie Lamar, director.

All library programs are free and open to the public.
