Faulkner Co. Girl Scouts, leaders recognized at annual meeting

Eighteen girls were recognized for earning the Bronze Award at the Faulkner Service Unit Annual Meeting in May.

The Bronze Award is the highest award that 4th and 5th grade girls can earn as a Junior Girl Scout.

The girls that received this award are: Ashley Moore, Troop 6620; Hallie Brown, Troop 6178; Paige Brown, Troop 6178; Samantha Biltgen, Troop 6178; Courtney Kennedy, Troop 6178; Erin Kulpinski, Troop 6178; Olivia Kulpinski, Troop 6178; Breanna McLaughlin, Troop 6178; Amy Gericke, Troop 6711; Tori Burton, Troop 6711; Dara DeSilva, Troop 6711; Angelina Osburn, Troop 6080; Adison Rudd, Troop 6080; Maggie Risley, Troop 6080; Annie Shelton, Troop 6080; Haley Willbank, Troop 6080; Kayla Spradlin, Troop 6080; and Trinity Boehringer, Troop 6080.

Achievements such as the Bronze Award are not possible without adult volunteers. The Diamonds of Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texas Girl Scout Council recently recognized Faulkner Girl Scout Leaders for outstanding service to the organization.

Mandy Eggert, a girl scout for 13 years and now an actively involved adult scout, was recognized as Volunteer of the Year for her efforts with the Faulkner Girl Scout Service Unit and her involvement as a camp councilor each summer.

Dana Hargraves, Troop 6670, and Toni Deyo, Troop 6673, received appreciation pins for their continuous contributions and enrichment of girls’ lives. Appreciation Pins are presented to leaders who delivered outstanding service to at least one service unit, or program delivery audience.

In addition to the council wide awards given to Faulkner County volunteers, leaders received service unit designations of outstanding volunteer/leader at the Faulkner Service Unit Annual Meeting. The Outstanding Leaders included: Jennifer Hennessey, Troop 6694; Shannon de Kunffy, Troop 6732; Kathleen Walker, Troop 6254; and Ami Trammell, Troop 6080. The Outstanding Volunteers included: Lindsey Chandler; Joe McGarrity, Troop 6342/6495; Robin Ballheimer, Troop 6203; Todd Kulpinski, Troop 6178; and Leigh Reed, Troop 6120.
