Fairfield Bay Pay it Forward Benefit Lunch planned

The Fairfield Bay (FFB) Pay it Forward Benefit Lunch is planned for 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on June 27 at the FFB Chamber/Visitor Center, 365 Dave Creek Parkway. Luncheon proceeds will benefit the FFB Emergency Medical Services.

The lunch is based on the Dirty Farmers’ Community Market and the Greater Good Cafe’s payment option of “Eat what you need, pay what you can,” according to Jackie Sikes, executive director of the FFB Area Chamber of Commerce.

“The food choices for this event will be some of the ‘favorites’ that were served at the Café and will include cheesecake,” Sikes said. The luncheon is being held in memory of the Café and in dedication to volunteers with the FFB Emergency Medical Services. Attendees are asked to donate what they can for the lunch they receive. Women With a Purpose will wait tables for the event.

“Eat what you need and pay what you can for a good cause!” Sikes said.
