Lencola Sullivan will address women-owned businesses and entrepreneurs at a leadership training at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 20, at the Conway Area Chamber of Commerce, 900 Oak St.
Originally from Morrilton (Conway County), she is a former Miss University of Central Arkansas, Miss Arkansas and was runner-up to Miss America. She is currently in a management position with Shell International in the Netherlands and is also a social entrepreneur and business owner.
This interactive and dynamic event is an eye opener. It is designed to provide real time leadership and business training for female businesses owners and entrepreneurs, including women living/working in rural areas, to help them start, grow and compete in their domestic and/or international markets.
“When you take part in the training, you will learn how to create work that you love and that fits with your life goals and you will take home tips and strategies that you can apply right away and that can take your business to the next level,” said Lencola.
The training is organized in cooperation with The Arkansas Woman’s Economic Development Corporation (AWEDC) to address women-owned businesses and entrepreneurs access to capital and profit. Established in 1994, AWEDC focuses on supporting and advancing women and girls. Breakout sessions on access to capital and planning for profit will be presented by private and public nontraditional lending entities.
