19 Jul 2016 Editor’s Note August ’16: Celebrating No. 100

This month, 501 LIFE is celebrating a milestone – the publication of our 100th edition!

Time has flown since we launched our inaugural edition in April 2008 with the hope and dream to create a magazine that celebrated greater Central Arkansas and all that it has to offer.

We have learned a lot along the way and have met some incredible people as we have presented their stories and covered events.

Since those first few editions, we have:

Expanded our editorial boards to include Faulkner, Conway and White counties.

Welcomed new contributors and added features with more and more advertising support.

Increased our online content with our two electronic newsletters.

Launched several additional publications, including 501 Football and 501 Kids.

Increased our circulation numbers and expanded our distribution.

Since our 501 LIFE journey began, there have been many blessings.

As in the beginning, we have remained appreciative of the support we have received from our loyal advertisers and readers. Thank you for your continued interest in 501 LIFE!

We recognize and thank our talented and creative team of designers, photographers and writers who do a fantastic job each month in producing a magazine that is interesting, attractive and informative.

We have also been very blessed by special partnerships, like the one we have developed with our friends at KARK Channel 4. The station did a segment on 501 LIFE when we launched and we have been invited back every month to share the news about the latest edition. We want to thank KARK’s Mallory Brooks and the entire Channel 4 team for their friendship and support.

Here’s to “Loving LIFE” in the 501 and celebrating No. 100!
