02 Dec 2014 Early deadline tomorrow for Greenbrier 5K

The Greenbrier Chamber of Commerce will present a Hometown Holiday with a day of family fun including the “Ugly Sweater Run” 5K and the 2014 Christmas parade on Saturday, Dec. 13.

Festivities begin with a 5K and Family Fun Run at 10:30 a.m. at the Greenbrier City Event Center. Registration is open up until race time but participants must register no later than Wednesday, Dec. 3, to receive a race T-shirt.

Participants are encouraged to don an ugly sweater for the event. Race registration is $25. Kids run free with a paid adult.

Proceeds benefit the chamber scholarship fund.

After the race, there will be pictures with Santa, food from a local food truck, bounce houses for the kids and the Greenbrier Christmas parade at 2 p.m.
