Dog parks offer opportunity to enjoy the outdoors

A variety of dog parks are located throughout the 501, giving pets and their companions an opportunity to enjoy the outdoors.

Some helpful information when planning an outing:

  1. Make sure to bring something (like a pooper scooper or bags) to pick up the mess your dog(s) make. Be respectful of others and always clean up after your dog.
  2. Bring water and a leash for your dog. Some parks provide water, but be prepared just in case.
  3. Don’t bring your dog if it is aggressive.
  4. Always keep an eye on your pet and don’t let the animal wander too far.
  5. If the park is near a residential area, be mindful of the neighbors and minimize the barking.
