Designer House at Hendrix Village, Sept. 24 through Oct. 16

The event is scheduled for Tuesdays through Sundays beginning Sept. 24, and continuing through Saturday, Oct. 16.

“We’re so excited about this year’s Designer House,” said event co-chair Lori Quinn. “We selected a live/work unit in The Village at Hendrix as the perfect place for both commercial and residential designers to showcase their work, with a variety of indoor and outdoor spaces.”

More than 20 professional designers from across the state are participating in the Designer House, with spaces ranging from a teen’s bedroom to a retail storefront to an outdoor patio.

“We know our visitors will love all the beautiful work that the designers have created, plus the chance to purchase dozens of unique items, all in one place,” said event co-chair Katherine Thomason.

Several designers will be on hand throughout the tour, offering visitors a chance to discuss their work with them personally.

Quinn and Thomason worked closely with The Village at Hendrix and a host of volunteers from the newly-formed Conway Symphony Orchestra Guild to prepare for this year’s event, the major fundraiser for the CSO.

The Designer House will also host several special events. Conway Symphony musicians will perform throughout the day on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 24-25; Art Happenings and Ladies Night Out at 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 27; The Art of Speaking throughout the day Sunday, Oct. 3; and Vocal Designs at The Village, a concert featuring several local soloists, at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 5. A full schedule of events and ticket information is available at www.conwaysymphony.org.

The Village at Hendrix is the presenting sponsor of this year’s Designer House. Benefactor sponsors are Watson Homes, Nabholz Properties/Sperry Van Ness, and Smith Ford.

Funds raised through the Designer House will be used to support the educational and outreach programs of the Conway Symphony Orchestra, including the CSO in the Classroom program in local schools, and partnerships with several area nonprofits.
