Dedication Ceremony planned today in Heber Springs

HEBER SPRINGS — The public is invited to attend a special dedication ceremony in honor and recognition of Charlotte Lacy at 1 p.m. today at the flag plaza on the ASU-Beebe Heber Springs Campus.

Ms. Lacy dedicated her life to service in education. She taught for more than 40 years in schools in the Heber Springs area including Heber Springs, Quitman, and Concord School Districts. She was a founding member of the advisory council that led the charge to establish the ASU-Beebe Heber Springs Campus.

The university will honor her legacy by dedicating the flag plaza on campus as the Charlotte Lacy Flag Plaza. A signing ceremony will also be held for the Charlotte Lacy Educational Leadership Scholarship, which will benefit Cleburne County students attending ASU-Beebe Heber Springs.
