Dances held each Friday night in Conway

The public is invited to take part in family-friendly dances from 5:30 to 9 p.m. each Friday at the Ola & John Hawks Senior Wellness & Activity Center, 705 E. Siebenmorgan in Conway. The cost is $8 per person to attend and enjoy a live band playing all evening.

“We offer a different band each week,” said Donna Bivins, a line dancing instructor for the Faulkner County Council on Aging. “We like to offer adults something fun to do, and many of them bring their grandchildren as well.”

No refreshments are offered, but attendees can bring non-alcoholic drinks in or purchase them from the vending machine. Line dancing is a part of the evening. The dances are planned throughout 2023.

Adults ages 55 and older can attend free classes each week to learn line dancing. Bivins teaches at the Center from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m. on Tuesdays for beginners and on Thursdays for intermediate and advanced dancers.
