Conway’s Stiener signs with HSU

Conway High School’s Sydney Stiener recently signed a national letter of intent to play golf at Henderson State University.

CHS Golf Coach Janet Taylor welcomed those in attendance at the signing, held at Buzz Bolding Arena, and detailed Sydney’s accomplishments.

Steiner advanced to the Indiana High School State Tournament Regionals before her family moved to Conway and she joined the Lady Wampus Cats. She was AWGA Junior Player of the Year, made the Junior Tri States Team, Fore States Team and was the Stroke Play Medalist and Match Play Champion.

In her three years at Conway High, she helped lead the Lady Wampus Cats to two conference championships, two state runner-up championships and one state championship.

Steiner has been recognized with two All State honors and two All Conference honors.

She is involved in numerous clubs and volunteers. She has a 4.12 grade point average.

“I know that you join me in congratulating Sydney and her family on an outstanding high school career and thank her and wish her the best as she continues her college career,” Taylor said.
