Conway's Alyssa Strickland to play for Moody Bible Institute

Conway resident Alyssa Strickland will continue her basketball career in the fall, playing for Moody Bible Institute in Chicago.

The Moody women’s basketball program recently announced that Alyssa, a guard, has committed to play for the Lady Archers next season. Alyssa played shooting guard and point guard at Conway High School and multiple AAU teams.

Moody officials described her “as an intelligent player, with great court awareness.”

At Moody, Alyssa plans to study sports ministry. She recently returned from the Czech Republic after studying the last year abroad.

Moody Bible Institute is a Christian institution of higher education that was founded by evangelist and businessman Dwight Lyman Moody in 1886. Since its founding, MBI’s main campus has been located in the Near North Side of Chicago.
