Conway Symphony plans free outdoor concert Sept. 22

On Friday, Sept. 22, the Conway Symphony Orchestra invites the community to help kick off its 33rd season with a free concert at Simon Park in Downtown Conway.

Bring your blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy a one-hour concert that will begin at 7:30 p.m. and end under the stars. The program will feature audience favorites plus special selections previewing the upcoming CSO season.

There will also be food available for purchase — gourmet grilled cheese from the Say Cheese food truck and ice cream from the Dream Cart.

“This is our favorite concert,” said conductor Izzy Getzov. “The park is overflowing with people and the energy is contagious! It’s a great way to kick off the season.” The performance has been generously underwritten by Southwestern Energy, with hospitality support from Cross Creek Sandwich Shop.

In case of rain, the concert will be moved to the auditorium at Snow Fine Arts Center at the University of Central Arkansas. See the Conway Symphony Orchestra Facebook page for more information.
