Conway Regional Toy Run Dec. 14

Bikers from throughout Arkansas will be riding to Conway on Saturday, Dec. 14, for the 19th Annual Conway Regional Toy Run.

“No child should be in the hospital without a toy,” said Steve “Painter” Polk, who founded the toy run in 2000. More than 100 bikers delivered toys in 2018.

Starting at noon, bikers will line up at Landers Toad Suck Harley Davidson, 1110 Collier Drive off Museum Road in Conway. At 2 p.m., they will caravan to Conway Regional Medical Center, where toys will be delivered.

The run is not limited to just bikers; everyone is invited to drive their own vehicles. Anyone can participate as long as they bring a toy.

Toys can be dropped off at the Harley dealership in advance or at the East Lobby of the hospital prior to Dec. 14. Toys should be new and unwrapped for a child or youth ages six months to 16 years.

The Toy Run collects an assortment of toys for children who are patients in the Pediatrics Unit. Toys are also distributed to children in the Emergency Department as well as in the Women’s Center.

The event is for the whole family. “I encourage everyone to come out and bring their kids,” said Polk.
