Conway Regional to host blood drive

Conway Regional and the Arkansas Blood Institute are giving Faulkner County the opportunity to pay it forward by asking them to donate during a two-day blood drive.

The event is planned 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6, 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, in the Conway Regional Auditorium at 2302 College Ave.

The Arkansas Blood Institute is the new provider for blood services at Conway Regional Medical Center. The Oklahoma-based organization supplies blood to 25 other Arkansas hospitals and is the ninth largest non-profit blood center in the country. The blood collected in in this area stays here to benefit the community.

If possible, donors are asked to make appointments online at yourbloodinstitute.org/donor/schedules/drive_schedule/196678.

For additional information, contact the Arkansas Blood Institute’s blood drive coordinator Vince Maniace at vince.maniace@obi.org.

Donors can enter a drawing for a $50 Walmart gift card each day of the drive.
