Conway Regional to host blood drive Sept. 24-25

Conway Regional Medical Center and the Arkansas Blood Institute (ABI) will host a blood drive on Monday and Tuesday, Sept.24 and 25. The blood drive will be held noon to 4:30 p.m. Monday 7 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Conway Regional Auditorium on the medical center campus at 2302 College Ave.

The need for blood is constant to help treat patients for trauma, surgeries, burns, cancer and sickle cell disease. Each regular donation can benefit as many as three people in need of blood.

If possible, donors are asked to make appointments online. To register for this blood drive visit arkbi.org and click “Find a Blood Drive” and search by ZIP Code and date. Donors can also register by calling 1.877.340.0877.

For additional information, contact the Arkansas Blood Institute’s blood drive coordinator Britteni Williams at [email protected].

Donors can enter a drawing for a $50 Walmart gift card each day of the drive. Donors will also receive a T-shirt. The ABI is also providing donors with “Go Hog Wild” T-shirts in recognition of the beginning of the Arkansas Razorbacks’ football season.

The ABI is the provider for blood services at Conway Regional and supplies blood to more than 40 Arkansas hospitals and is part of the ninth largest non-profit blood center in the country.
