Conway Regional participates in global day of giving, unity

At Conway Regional Health System, there is one team, with one promise: to be bold, to be exceptional and to answer the call. Each day, the team exemplifies this promise as members work to protect the health and safety of patients, staff and the community through the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Conway Regional Health Foundation is participating in #GivingTuesdayNow – a new global day of giving and unity that will take place on Tuesday, May 5, as an emergency response to the unprecedented need caused by COVID-19.The day is designed to drive an influx of generosity, citizen engagement, business and philanthropy activation, and support for communities and nonprofits around the world.

Conway Regional Health Foundation Chief Development Officer Lori Ross encourages all to join. “Whether you give your voice, goods, your time or your money, Tuesday is a special day we can all come together as a community, a state and world,” she said “Despite aid from various state and federal initiatives to help hospitals respond to COVID-19, it doesn’t backfill the lost revenue and increased expenses incurred on the front lines. Every gift will help and we are so appreciative.”

“As a global community, we can mourn this moment of extreme crisis while also finding the opportunity to support one another. We each have the power to make an impact with acts of generosity, no matter how small, and to ensure the sustainability of organizations and services that are crucial to the care and support of our communities,” said Asha Curran, CEO of GivingTuesday.
