Conway Regional names new nutrition director

Lori Dather, RDN, LD, of Conway is the new director of nutritional services for Conway Regional Health System.

As director of nutrition services, she oversees 40 employees including cooks, registered dietitians, cashiers, servers, aides, supervisors and assistants.

Dather brings 27 years of experience in various management and clinical services to the position. “When I first moved to Conway, I thought of this position as my dream job,” said Dather. “Seventeen years later, I am very excited about working at Conway Regional.”

Dather has some changes planned, the first of which is the purchase of the Jasperz Java coffee shop adjacent to the Conway Regional Gift Shop. She has begun a contest to rename the coffee shop, which remains open from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. weekdays.

Dather comes to Conway Regional after working in a health and wellness position with Midwest Dairy Council. Prior to that, she was the director of nutrition services for the Arkansas State Hospital in Little Rock.

A native of South Dakota, Dather holds a bachelor’s degree in dietetics from South Dakota State University. She and her husband, Darren, have seven children, all of whom are attending or have attended Conway schools. Dather is an avid runner whose experiences include a 50-mile trail race and multiple marathons.
