The Conway Symphony Orchestra will introduce its 35th season at A Concert in the Park at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 20, at Simon Park in Downtown Conway.

The orchestra is led by music director and conductor Israel Getzov.

The free concert features repertoire for upcoming events and includes music from the 2017 Disney film “Beauty and the Beast.”

Guest conductor Isaac Terceros, founder and music director of the Santa Cruz Philharmonic in Bolivia, will lead the orchestra in Giuseppe Verdi’s Overture from La Forza del Destino.

Bring folding chairs, picnic blankets and fully immerse yourself in the culture with local cuisine and food trucks that will also be at the event.

“There is something magical about coming together as a community to listen to music live in the center of the city,” Getzov said.

The event runs about an hour.

A Concert in the Park is sponsored by Acxiom.

“Acxiom is proud to support the Concert in the Park community concert and excited to partner with the Conway Symphony Orchestra to ignite creativity through music,” said Crystal Floyd, engagement manager at Acxiom.
