Conway Men's Chorus presents 15th annual Christmas concert

The Conway Men’s Chorus will present a mix of traditional favorites and soul-stirring songs of the season at its 15th annual Christmas appearance at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, at Reynolds Performance Hall at the University of Central Arkansas.

Doors will open at 6:30. Admission is free as is the parking on the north, west and south of Reynolds.

CMC is under the direction of Sam Huskey, choral director with the Conway Public Schools. Pianist is Paul Bradley, and assistant directors are Dustin Summey and Dr. Greg Murry.

The 50-plus group, organized in 1998, includes men of all walks of life who have an intense interest in music. Two concerts annually, one in spring and one during the Christmas season, are presented as gifts to the community.

Some of the music to be performed will include “Silent Night, Silent World,” “All Is Well,” “The Christmas Song,” “You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch,” “O Holy Night,” “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” and many more.

A sing-along with the audience is also planned.

Opening the program will be guest performers “Smooth Reflections.” This five-member combo from Conway plays music from jazz to blues to rock-n-roll. Members include Pat Hasty on trumpet, Ron Barnett on saxophone, John Kuster on drums, Joey Buddenberg on guitar and David Reese on bass.
